Sunday May 15th - Walk / Lunch

Weather permitting we plan to enjoy an easy paced walk starting from the Barley Mow pub in Cosgrove.
We will depart at 11:00am so please aim to arrive 10 minutes beforehand so there is no delay.
We will return to the Barley Mow for 12:30pm where you can have a drink or join us in a traditional Sunday lunch.
Members who do not want to walk can meet up around 12:30am and join those dining or simply having refreshments.
Please let our organiser Jakki know if you want to walk and also whether or not you would like to book a place for lunch.
Friday May 27th - Chilli & Walk
One of our most popular events takes place on Friday May 27th.
A walk in and around Great Linford Manor followed by home cooked beef chilli ( vegetarian option also ) and a selection of deserts.
This is a bring your own booze evening kindly hosted by Graham and Fiona.
Full details will be sent by email to club members.
We will request a nominal charge per person to cover the costs of the food provided.
Booking is required in advance.

Thursday June 30th - Annual General Meeting
We return to the Inn on the Lake for our Annual General meeting followed by a club meeting and we are pleased to have a speaker ( Mal from SkiLine ) to update us on the holiday travel industry following Brexit and Covid.
Some regular attendees to club nights like to dine in the restaurant an hour or thereabouts beforehand.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 19:30.
If planning to dine please let Gillian know by Monday 27th ( midday ) if you wish to share a group table.
The usual data pack required for our AGM will be sent out in due course.

Wednesday July 13th - Walk / Coffee / Lunch

This event will take place on a Wednesday and is different to what we have organised in the past to see how it appeals ( or not ) to members.
Meet in the car park of the recently opened pub Warbler on the Wharf at Campbell Park Marina at 11:00am
We will take a leisurely walk through Campbell Park with all its artistic sculptures and interesting features and stop for coffee at La Tour.
This is the latest hotel to open in central Milton Keynes between John Lewis multi-storey carpark and Campbell Park.
On the top floor there are panoramic views over the park towards Willen Lake.
We will continue our walk through the park back to the Warbler for a drink or optional lunch.
Our organiser for this event is Peter Blyth and it would be appreciated if those planning to attend could let him know a few days in advance.

Thursday July 28th - Pub Night

We are meeting in Ye Olde Swan in Woughton on the Green for a dinner at 7:30pm
Some members may like to join a short local walk beforehand and if interested meet in the pub carpark at 6:30pm
This pub has a nice outdoor garden in a village setting and as it is mid-summer we look forward to enjoying a drink outside if possible.
Those intending to dine should contact our organiser who will manage the booking.
Thursday August 25th - Pub Night
Join us for just a drink or something to eat at the new pub located at Campbell Park Marina.

Walkers, and non walkers can meet up in the pub afterwards for food and / or refreshments. If the weather is pleasant this pub by the Grand Union Canal has nice outdoor facilities. More information will be provided later. |
